JOE: Good morning Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good morning Joe. No day off today.
JOE: Nope. That’s the way of the self employed.  I spent the past two days running around and today plan to be home all day working on various facets of my writing.
CALLIOPE: Who what progress have you made with Marital Property?
JOE: I finished the formatting for Ebook publication and have added photos to each chapter, but I am not sure yet whether this will make my file too big for publication. Yet to be determined.
CALLIOPE: Now what?
JOE: I have started going through the script (file? cyberscript?) to see how it can be enhanced. I had some feedback that the sexual scenes were a little too mild.
CALLIOPE: What do you plan to do about it?
JOE: I would like to make these scenes more erotic without making them pornographic. I am reading a little of each type of writing to find a good balance.
CALLIOPE: Sounds interesting.
JOE: It is. Some research just has to be done.

JOE: Good evening Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good evening Joe. How goes the writing?
JOE: I have been hard at work on Marital Property. I decided to add pictures to all the chapters and just finished that a few minutes ago.
CALLIOPE: Sounds like quite  bit of work.
JOE: It was but it brought back many good memories of my times in Martha’s Vineyard. I am back to another reading of the draft, looking for ways to liven up the story.
CALLIOPE: Is it working?
JOE: I like how it is coming. The next step is to get some new readers. It occurred to me that I have only had men read it so far. I am beginning to think it might appeal more to women than men.
CALLIOPE: An interesting revelation.
JOE: I think so. I have chosen a few of my female friends to request their reading the book and sharing their honest comments. Then we shall see or as they say in the Latin, “Maneat videri.”

JOE: Good morning Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good morning Joe. What news today?
JOE: Its been a busy week. GO ART! is hopping with preparations for our upcoming Gala on October 6.  I published my latest blog this morning, Sorting Out Our Sorts: A Favor to Ourselves. I have also been working on Marital Property. I have almost finished formatting my current draft and am ready to get to work on the characters.
CALLIOPE: You have been busy. Anything else going on?
JOE: I have been experimenting with Pinterest, adding pictures which give a sense of my books and of my own interests. I am starting to appreciate visual communication as a supplement to words and have decided to incorporate it into my marketing strategies.
CALLIOPE: I will have to take a look. And the next week?
JOE: More work on the GO ART! Gala, a visit to my mother and back to my self editing.
CALLIOPE: Keep up the good work.
JOE: Thanks. I’ll do my best.

JOE: Good morning Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good morning Joe. How goes the fray?
JOE: It is starting to feel less like a battle lately and more like a normal process.
CALLIOPE: What’s this about infrastructure.
JOE: I feel like most of the supports for my writing are in place.
CALLIOPE: Such as?
JOE: My website, www.slidingotter.com has been switched to the new format and so is running smoothly. My newsletter is now automated and is also behaving. My current books are all listed with Smashwords as Ebooks. I also have new business cards.
CALLIOPE: Great! Now what?
JOE: I am back to work on my second novel, Marital Property and hope to have it listed with Smashwords sometime in the next couple months. I also have another book project waiting in the wings.
CALLIOPE: I’m glad you took my Muse inspiration to heart and got back to work.
JOE: So am I. stay with me for the rest of the ride.

JOE: Good morning, Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good morning Joe. What’s new?
JOE: I have been working hard on developing my new website design. I chose Vistaprint, tried a couple templates, chose one and went from there.
CALLIOPE: Is it done now?
JOE: It’s still fresh and shiny. I moved it from the development stage to actual publication with my old domain name.
CALLIOPE: Can I see it?
JOE: You sure can. Look for it at http://www.slidingotter.com. It is also available for mobile devices.
CALLIOPE:Thanks, I will take a look.
JOE: Thanks. Talk with you later.

JOE: Good morning Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good morning Joe. I see we have a new title.
JOE: Well, yes. Sorry to say not many people know who you are. I thought they should know right off the bat that you are my muse.
CALLIOPE: I guess I can’t argue with that. What’s this about mysteries.
JOE: The big one is where all this creative energy came from after several low key years. I am back to working on my latest novel, redid my website, listed all my Ebooks on Smashwords, automated my newsletter and set up a Pinterest account.
CALLIOPE: Where are all these found.
JOE: Pinterest can be found at www.pinterest.com/jglangen/, my Smashwords books and profile are at www.smashwords.com/profile/jlangen and my website draft is at www.slidingotter.vpweb.com. I plan to move it to my regular Sliding Otter domain later this week.
CALLIOPE: I guess you have been busy. Don’t forget who your muse is.
JOE: I won’t and thanks.
