Toward the Light

JOE: Good morning Calliope, I just stopped by for a moment to update you.
CALLIOPE: Then update me, please.
JOE: I have made all the changes in Marital Property I think I need to make at the moment. Now I am reading through the text one more time before the next step.
CALLIOPE: Which is?
JOE: Sending it on to a few faithful readers for their review and  input.
CALLIOPE: And then publication?
JOE: Correct. It should be ready to go then.
CALLIOPE: Congratulations on your progress.
JOE: Thanks, I am almost finished but not quite. Hopefully soon.

JOE: Good afternoon Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good afternoon Joe.
JOE: This is just a quick visit to update you on my progress on Marital Property. I incorporated some technical changes based on my friend Margie’s superior knowledge of Martha’s Vineyard. I also reduced my picture size so the manuscript was withing acceptable limits for Smashwords. I also prepared the cover.
CALLIOPE: Good progress. What’s left?
JOE: Three things. First is some editing of the sexual passages to make them a little more sensual. Then is a final proofreading. Finally I have a couple female friends I would like to have read the book. If all goes well I will be ready for publication after these steps.
CALLIOPE: Great progress. Let me know how it goes.
JOE: I’ll keep you posted.

JOE: Good afternoon Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good afternoon Joe. Back from your travels?
JOE: Indeed I am. Nothing like a whirlwind trip to Martha’s Vineyard.
CALLIOPE: Was it all fun or did you work a little on your writing?
JOE: It was a movable feast. However, I did talk with my friend Margie, practically a walking encyclopedia on everything related to Martha’s Vineyard
CALLIOPE: What did you learn.
JOE: Some of my inklings were confirmed and others seen as untrue. For example, I learned that the Shark Tournament takes place in July rather than in the Fall as I portrayed it. She was quite helpful with background facts and also agreed to read the cyberscript for me. Okay, back to work.

JOE: Good afternoon Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good afternoon Joe. What’s happening?
JOE: Busy, busy, busy. I bought an Asus Transformer tablet Monday and have been busy figuring out how to use it. Between that, work and my brother’s visit from Hawaii, I have not had time to work on Marital Property.
CALLIOPE: Do you plan to get back to it this weekend?
JOE: Sort of. I will be in Martha’s Vineyard for the weekend and plan to check out a few things to ad detail to the book. I plan to get serious about my editing when I get back.
CALLIOPE: Have a good time.
JOE: I plan to. Talk with you next week.

JOE: Good morning Calliope.
CALLIOPE: Good morning Joe. ¬†Interesting title for today’s blog. What’s up?
JOE: I told you I was hard at work editing Marital Property, about a troubled marriage.
CALLIOPE: You did. And?
JOE: I wrote several sexual passages, one about a casual affair, one just sexual and one involving lovemaking. I am working on how best to write about each of these.
CALLIOPE: Not your usual topic I take it.
JOE: No, but I’m working on it. I have been reading various types of erotic writing. At least the research is interesting.
CALLIOPE: I hope it turns out okay. Three shades of Joe.
JOE: Perhaps. Stay tuned.
